“Hopes & Dreams for 17” and Christine has it with her card. You can see she is looking forward to Canada’s 150th with all the Parks being open.
Here she has taken a photograph and used it with the Birch Trees (Stamp L737) added a few Rocks (Stamp C346) and created a breathtaking view.
Come to think of it…. we live in the Canadian shield… we don’t need to add rocks anywhere.

Send us your card creation for our monthly card contests. The winner gets a $20.00 store/show/online credit. Not every fancy card wins, not every dazzling card wins…. the Card that wins is the one that feels right for the occasion. Please note that your Card…. must incorporate one or more of Frog’s Whiskers Ink or Rosewood, stamps or products in the design of the card.

Somebody Loves Me !!

Card061Or at least everybody who entered the Valentines Day Card Contest. Remember that you need to use at least one Frog’s Whiskers Ink stamp in your design. Winner of the contest for February is Helen of Toronto with her Card…. “I Love You”

This is a case of where less worked best. The main heart stamp L705 Lace Heart was used as the centre piece and C96 I Love You was stamped inside the heart. A layered strip to each side with punched out hearts completed the look to make a perfect Guy Card.

Love is ….

Project P3Love is…. Looking in the Same direction… filled with Hearts and the ever watchful Cupid. This Card is easy to make but “fabulous” in looks. For the one in you life, going in the same direction.

Paper:- dark red, plum, black and white. All images are stamped in black ink on the white paper and coloured.

The card is dark red cardstock 7” x 12” folded to make a 7” x 6” card.
P3 imgCut the plum cardstock 6.75” x 5.75” and glue or tape onto the card. Stamp the Ribbon Heart onto the white cardstock, colour, trim and layer directly onto the right hand side of the card. Stamp and colour Cupid, layer onto plum and attach on top of the Ribbon Heart. Trim a piece of black cardstock to fit into the remaining space leaving a plum border showing. Trim the white cardstock to fit on top, stamp the Playful Hearts in a random pattern, colour.
Attach a burgundy ribbon around the middle of the white cardstock and tack in place before you glue the heart stamped cardstock onto the black cardstock. Stamp Love Is not Lost onto white cardstock, trim and layer onto plum. Centre and glue in place as shown to the sample.

“Summer Fun Card Contest”

The rules are the same as we did for the “Father’s Day Card Contest” only this time we are going to have some “Summer Fun” Please note that your entry must be a actual card (electronic entries although are wonderful, are not valid entries)
We are offering wonderful First, Second and Third place prizes
of Frog’s Whiskers Ink Stamps and Supplies

The rules are as follows…
1. The card must incorporate one or more of Frog’s Whiskers Ink… Rosewood/Stamp Barn/Sunshine Designs/Heather’s/House on the Hill stamps in the design of the card.

2. It doesn’t matter if it is a Fun Card, beach card, play card or Just Saying Hello card. It must express the essence of Summer Fun.

3. All cards are to be submitted by Thursday, July 27th 2013. Artwork can be mailed, delivered by hand or on horseback. It doesn’t matter as long as it is in our hands by closing time, 5:30 PM

4. All artwork becomes the property of Frog.s Whiskers Ink and will be displayed on the website and in the store to promote the contest.

5. Remember to sign, date, and attach your address and phone number to your submission, so we can contact you when you win.

6. Have Fun designing your card. One entry per participant, per Contest

7. Watch the website for the winners of the contest and as many of the submissions as is practical.
