While looking for information for a customer the other day, I came across this bit of information on Letraset markers. This website offers “Product Reviews” that are very good and for those of us who don’t visualize well, offers lots of pictures. Card Contest with a Twist

We have decided to issue a card contest. Here are the rules:

it must be at least 5×7
it must have 5 layers (this can include embellishments)
it must have at least one (1) stamp from Frog’s Whiskers Ink. Easy?
Here’s the twist, you must incorporate the use of a rubber band in your card. Interesting isn’t it? The rubber band can be featured as a layer or incorporated into the background.

Send us a scan or take a photo of your finished card. You may post the image on the Facebook Page or email the image to us to enter into the contest ( If you are unable to do this you may mail it to Frog’s Whiskers Ink. Card MUST arrive by March 31, 2012) . The winning entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for anything in the store or on the website and we will feature your card on the Frog’s Whiskers Ink website and here on the blog.

Deadline for entries will be March 31, 2012

Fun Stuff in the Mail

Rose-Marie travelled to Under Construction in Orillia just before Christmas to teach a Letraset class. Today she received a nice thank you note from one of the ladies who took her class.

Isn’t it cute? She used E579 Mummy Bunny which she coloured beautifully with Letraset markers. She then die cut the image and layered it onto a diecut scalloped oval. Some beautiful scrapbook paper and a few peel & stick accents create a very pretty card. Sorry I don’t recognize the sentiment. We really enjoy seeing what our customers do with our stamps. Feel free to share.

Christmas has come and gone. The snow has finally arrived and the beginning of a new year is upon us. 2011 has been an incredible year for Frog’s Whiskers Ink. The purchase of The Stamp Barn was a big leap of faith for Tom and Rose-Marie. There were as many reasons for not purchasing this company as there were for making the purchase. I know there were many times that the bosses seconded guess the decision but by the end of the year it became apparent that it was indeed the right decision. We want to thank you, most gratefully, for your continued support.

There is still a lot to do in 2012. The physical aspects of combining the two companies is pretty much done. There is still some tweaking but that part is done. Tom and Liz will begin the process of making new labels for The Stamp Barn images. All of the labels will be converted to the same pricing code that has been used by Frog’s Whiskers Ink on the Rosewood images, which should simplify the price list substantially.

We have an updated website that we hope will go live very soon. Not only will it combine all the images from both companies, it will be easier to navigate. We know that 20 plus pages of Christmas images are too many for even the most dedicated web customer to have to sift through.
